The girl spends every waking moment preparing for her entrance into a highly competitive prep school. Fortunately her new neighbour turns out to be an eccentric and fascinating old aviator (Jeff Bridges). Their destinies cross when an errant propeller from the aviator’s airplane careens from his backyard and into her house—and he soon sets about telling her a wondrous tale. \n
