As spirited Chicago schoolteacher Samantha Abbott (Cobie Smulders) adjusts to an unexpected pregnancy and sudden marriage, she finds new perspective on life through a friendship with promising high school senior Jasmine (Gail Bean), who is dealing with a surprise pregnancy of her own. Also starring Anders Holm and Elizabeth McGovern, Unexpected is lovingly realized with warmth, humour, and a keen understanding of life’s complexities.
